Preference is for the former, who broke his maiden tag in good style at Chelmsford in August. He was thrown in at the deep end on handicap debut at Goodwood later that month and could only manage sixth. This looks a more realistic race for him today and he makes his return from a 250-day break having been gelded during the winter. If that brings about some improvement he is the one they all have to beat.
