5.20pm Wolves Tips & Betting Preview 07/03/2016

IN SUMMARY: THE WAY YOU DANCE (9/2) looked to be improving all the time when in the care of Ismail Mohammed in Newmarket and may go on again for his new owners and trainer Neil Mulholland. Off the track to freshen him up after a couple of good runs we think he can shrug off the weight rise and win this, with Several an interesting each way option dropping back to what may prove a more sensible trip based on breeding alone.

1. BLACK MINSTREL – One of five course and distance winners in the field he clearly likes it here but runs off of five pounds higher today. Reunited with Patrick Vaughan today who takes off seven pounds he seems sure to run well though a lower draw would be beneficial.

2. RED UNICO – Trained by Michael Appleby who has plenty of winners here, he steps up from seven furlongs to close to a mile and a quarter here which seems unlikely to suit (has tried it four times without success) –not for us today.

3. OUTLAW TORN – Yet to win off a rating this high after an amazing 110 races under rules! Course and distance winner from a mark five pounds lower last October and may have needs his latest run after four months off – place possibilities.

4. MY LORD – Lightly raced on the flat in recent years but has placed a few times over hurdles. Won a better race at Goodwood in 2014 off a higher mark than today so not out of the equation in theory, but last of nine here over further and basically a selling plater.

5. TIJUCA – Clearly likes it around here with two wins and two places from eight starts but has struggled since the handicapper put him above 60 with two poor efforts on his last two runs. Looks capable of winning again but may need to come down a pound or two first.

6. SENOR GEORGE – Not too badly weighted on the very best of his form but hasn’t been seen in action since being well beaten at Bath last August, which suggests he has had issues – perhaps best watched this afternoon

7. THE WAY YOU DANCE – Formerly in Newmarket with Ismael Mohammed but now with Neil Mulholland, he won here before a second place to Outlaw Torn (only beaten a head) off a rating of 59. Put up another four pounds and off the track for over four months, if he is fit enough it seems likely that he is more than good enough, and in a tricky race he has an excellent chance.

8. EVERVESCENT – Hasn’t scored since July 2104 and slowly slipping down the weights since. Thrown in on his best form, sadly that was a long time ago but if he can improve for his last run he could get involved though it is noted he is yet to place in five attempts on all-weather surfaces, three of them here.

9. SEVERAL – Still a maiden after five races but the joint youngest in the race and open to improvement. Drops back in trip which on breeding may suit, a dark horse to at least consider each way as a half brother to Tattenham who was possibly best at this trip in the USA.

10. SACRED SQUARE – Could be described as moody to put it politely, but has some half decent placed form when he can be bothered to put it all in. Drops in to this class for the first time in a couple of runs which ought to help, but only has the one win from twenty-six starts which is not inspiring.

11. LES GAR GAN – Has scored twice here and once at Lingfield from nineteen all-weather starts, and isn’t badly weighted on his best form, and at the age of five he could well repeat that today. Yet to win over this trip but has been successful over shorter and further so we doubt that is an issue, and he has an each way shout in our view

12. LET ME IN – Was off the track from May 2014 to this January so may well have needed all three of his runs so far to put him straight. Yet to recapture his 2013 form but was an acceptable second to La Havrese here last time, though an extra pound from the handicapper looks punitive.

13. CAHAR FAD – Perhaps the most in form option despite joint bottom weight today. Meets Les Gar Gan on two pounds worse terms for three quarters of a length two races ago so it should be close between the pair. Has since finished to Rockwood here off of two pounds higher and has gone up another couple of pounds which when added to a bad draw in the twelve stall may stop his chances.

myracing Forecast Prices: 7/2 The Way You Dance, Cahar Fad 11/2, Let Me In 13/2, Les Gar Gan 7/1, Red Unico 7/1, Black Minstrel 8/1, Tijuca 10/1, My Lord 12/1, Evervescent 14/1, Sacred Square 25/1, Senor George 25/1, Outlaw Torn 25/1, Several 33/1.
