4 Windsor Betting Hints

While the Lincoln meeting at Doncaster officially kicks off the flat turf season, the first meeting at Windsor on a Monday makes it a reality. There is something special about arriving at the quirky figure of eight track by boat that starts the day with a smile, with the quality of racing generally strong.

We look at four betting angles at the track to help turn a profit, plus we have free horse racing tips for Windsor this afternoon.

1 – Trainer to follow

Clive Cox is 18/86 with three-year-olds at the track in the last five years. He has also had fourteen seconds and thirteen thirds for a total of 45/86 or 52% of those running making the first three home. Backing them blind at Windsor would’ve yielded a profit of £22.23 in that timeframe, Cox’s third-best P/L of any turf track.

That also comes from considerably more runners than the other courses where he shows a profit, so if you back a Clive Cox three-year-old anywhere, make it Windsor.

2 – Jockey to follow

It should be no surprise that Gerald Mosse has not made many trips to Windsor but he has made the most of them. Seven winners from twenty-nine rides is a 24% strike-rate, producing an eye-catching +£20.63 level stake profit in that time. He has just a single ride this afternoon.

3 – Combo

Limited numbers to go on but Tom Queally has ridden three horses at Windsor for trainer Richard Spencer and two of them have won. Spencer has sent just three juveniles to the track in the past five years producing a winner and a third.

4 – Who’s the daddy?

Gregorian made a solid impact in his first season as a sire in 2018, including five of his nine runners hitting the frame at Windsor. Backing all his runners each way here last year produced a level stakes profit of £37. He also had two fourths including one at 40/1 so he is very much a sire to watch with interest here in 2019.
