4 Saturday Must Have Betting Pointers + 73/1 Acca!

Sandown Park

The final Saturday before Royal Ascot sees our ITV Tips tackle York, Sandown and Chester. A couple of Listed contests as well as five quality, competitive handicaps complete the action.

ITV Best Bet

Our Best Bet on ITV comes in the Listed Scurry Stakes at Sandown. Well Done Fox was a very useful juvenile last season, winning twice at Listed level, including over this course and distance, as well as filling the runner up berth in a couple of Group races.

He appeared to get caught out by the extra furlong at Ascot on seasonal return, when getting overhauled by the field inside the final furlong. A drop back to the minimum trip will suit him here and being the top-rated horse in this field, should take all the beating.

Outsider to Watch

Having joined Tim Easterby from Hugo Palmer at the start of the campaign, Hyperfocus looks to be firmly back on track. Gaining his first win in almost two years at Ripon last time in a competitive affair. A 1lb rise for that certainly doesn’t look harsh.

Stepping up to seven furlongs here won’t be a problem as he was a narrow second over the trip on his final start for his previous stable. All his turf wins have either come on Heavy, Soft or Good to Soft ground, so today’s conditions should be ideal.

Brilliant Beckett

Ralph Beckett could hardly be in a richer vein of form if he wanted to be. An astonishing 5 winners from his last 7 runners, his form figures since 10th June read – 321211211.

He has five runners today and given how well his horses are going, it wouldn’t be overly surprising to see the bigger priced ones outrun their odds.

Quick Turnaround – *73/1 Acca

Some trainers excel at preparing their horses quickly and turning them out again before the week is up. Below are trainers who have a knack of getting winners over the past two years when one of their horses runs within 7 days of its last outing.
