4.55pm Warwick tips for Thursday’s Class 4 race. Eight mares go to post for this competitive handicap hurdle at Warwick on this autumn afternoon. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: With Mitchell Bastyan claiming seven pounds, the massive weight that HINT OF GREY would have carried is massively negated and she can take a fourth hurdling victory now freshened up after a break. She has taken all her victories in Novice Races, but she has threatened in handicap company in the past, with a mark of 117 more than fair. She has her conditions and will prove tough to beat, with the main danger coming from the in-form Midnight Walk who won last time out. Undefined Beauty makes her first start for Olly Murphy after being hugely disappointing out in Ireland, so she can only be watched, especially at her skinny odds.

1 HINT OF GREY – Four-year-old filly for Don Cantillon who has won three times over hurdles and, although those were in Novice races, she’s threatened in handicaps previously. She’s been given a break to freshen up andshe should be tough to beat  with Mitchell Basytan taking off seven pounds.

2 SOLSTALLA – Two wins from 17 hurdling starts for David Weston, with her latest fifth at Worcester two weeks ago a below par effort. This looks to be a tougher race and, despite being three pounds below her last winning mark, she needs more to be threatening.

3 GINGER FIZZ – Front-runner for Ben Case who won three starts ago at Worcester easily and she ran admirably when fourth at Uttoxeter 11 days ago. She’s still not badly treated and will be looking to boss this from the front, so she looks hugely dangerous under Daryl Jacob with conditions fine.

4 MIDNIGHT WALK – Arrives here on the back of a Sedgefield Novice win three weeks ago, making all in impressive style. She returns to handicaps now and looks to be on a great mark if in the same mood once again with conditions to suit. Has to be considered a key player.

5 UNDEFINED BEAUTY – Makes her stable debut for Olly Murphy after two very poor runs for Edward Stanners, arriving with a record of one win from 12 hurdling starts. This trainer does well with these types so a market check is advised, but she’s best ignored on balance.

6 BOBBLE BORU – One of the more experienced runners in the field who won off today’s mark at Chepstow in January, running well two starts ago at Worcester. She was poor at Uttoxeter when last seen, but it would be no surprise to see her bouncing back with better ground here. Has to be considered.

7 MILAN OF CRYSTAL – Modest strike rate for Dave Roberts yet she does arrive today in good form, looking dangerous when falling here over 2m 3f last week. A drop back in trip isn’t certain to suit though and she should find herself outpaced here.

8 SCOTSBROOK KNIGHT – Still a maiden after nine rules starts for Shaun Lycett, although she was only three lengths behind Bobble Boru and Solstalla when last seen. She’s three pounds lower here and looks dangerously weighted now, so has to be respected off a basement weight.
