This Grade 2 has only ever been won by Nicky Henderson or Paul Nicholls and both are represented here by Call Me Lord and OLD GUARD respectively. The latter is the selection today back on his preferred ground conditions and back over a trip more suitable for him having failed to stay three miles at Aintree last time out. He had shown smart form prior to that run including a win in the Grade 2 National Spirit Hurdle at Fontwell in February and he appears to hold the Neil King trained Lil Rockerfeller on that form.
