3.15pm Ayr Tips & Betting Preview 30/10/2017

3.15pm Ayr tips for Monday’s Class 5 race. Three miles the test in front of them in this handicap hurdle, a field of eleven chasing a first prize of £2,729. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: MCGINTY’S DREAM was a hugely eyecatching winner over a quarter mile less than this last season. A step down was no help to him afterwards, with this three miles looking far more suitable for him. Chu Chu Percy should do better now stepped up in trip on handicap debut with Knocklayde another potential improver having been a mover in the market when runner-up at the back end of last season.

1 WOOD PIGEON – Yet to score in eight runs under rules, his best efforts coming over this trip in chases in Ireland. He has been confined to hurdles since arriving on these shores, now joining the excellent Olly Murphy. Needs respect but would appeal more over fences.

2 CHU CHU PERCY – Didn’t show much in novice company but does at least begin handicapping at a lowly level. Solid point to point form in Ireland suggests he is capable of about this level, now stepped back up in trip. Interesting each way player.

3 THE BISHOP – Proved suited by coming back to hurdles last season following a number of poor performances over fences. Trip and ground suit perfectly but will need to find a little more improvement to score from this mark at the first time of asking.

4 RIVABODIVA – Scored in her only point to point but now 0/14 under rules. She has no issues on this ground but although she has run well at this trip on good, it has stretched her stamina beyond breaking point when trying it on soft, that remains a concern.

5 LETMEGO – Very disappointing for his current yard, he won from nine pounds higher for Chris Gordon earlier in the year. Conditions are fine for him but he can’t be supported until showing a few more signs of life despite the very workable mark.

6 SPOILS OF WAR – A winner over three miles on good ground, his stamina has been stretched when trying it on soft. He has no issues with the ground conditions – placed at Perth last time in them – but the petrol notably ran out up the straight.

7 MCGINTY’S DREAM – Has still looked green despite having had ten races. He sluiced up at Newcastle in January over a quarter of a mile shorter, still open to improvement if this new trip is what he needs. The one to beat if that is the case.

8 LITTLE FRITZ – 0/23 under rules, he hasn’t run over hurdles since April 2013. Better ground would suit ideally but is very well treated on his best form if ever able to tap back into that over the smaller obstacles.

9 MILEVA ROLLER – Few glimmers of ability last autumn but those came at two miles on decent ground. Soft ground and this trip are going to be a new test when combined for her with little in her races or pedigree to suggest this is what she requires.

10 KNOCKLAYDE – No match for The Bishop in April when they met. Notably strong in the market on his handicap debut there, he is fifteen pounds better off now including jockey claims. One of the more interesting ones.

11 POETIC PRESENCE – Irish raider has shown a couple of bits of form on decent ground. She is half a stone out of the handicap on this occasion however so has a stiff task on her hands here.
