2.25pm Exeter tips for Sunday’s race. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Brelan D’As is obviously of serious interest but his price is based on potential more than form to date and it may be worth taking a chance on FLINTHAM at these prices. His second in the Reynoldstown Chase at Ascot is the best form on offer and if he can repeat that this afternoon which is the big question, he ought to win this with ease

1 BRELAN D’AS – Cost a pretty penny when bought for 225,000 Euros by J P McManus after winning a bumper and a hurdle race in France and won a Wincanton handicap for Paul Nicholls back in November 2016 by a comfortable six lengths. Eleven months off before his debut over fences when a promising third to West Approach in a hot novice at Ffos Las and looked the sort top improve considerably for the experience. Up in trip and could be interesting.

2 DUEL AT DAWN – Decent enough over hurdles peaking at a rating of 130 before winning at Bangor in a Class Three handicap and looked as if he would be just as good over fences when third to Knight Of Noir on his chasing debut at Chepstow. Likely to improve for the run and continues in cheekpieces, but may find one or two a bit quick for him if this turns tactical.

3 FLINTHAM – Possibly the best of these over hurdles and rated 147 after winning at Warwick in January 2016 and looks to have races in him over fences. Only beaten a short head in the Reynoldstown Chase at Ascot in February when caught on the line and has an experience edge over these.

4 IMPULSIVE STAR – Won his first two starts in a point to point and an Irish bumper before moving to Neil Mulholland last November and has won three of his five starts over hurdles since. A beaten favourite in the Pertemps final at Cheltenham in March he hasn’t been seen since but he seems the sort to do even better over fences and looks a major player here.
