7.25pm Kempton tips for Wednesday’s Class 4 race. A field of 14 go to post for this London Middle Distance Series Qualifier. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Placing here over course and distance in July off a six pound lower mark, GRACEFUL JAMES has won since and was only beaten two lengths at Chelmsford two starts ago. He’s now one pound lower than that mark and, now that he’s returned to the all weather, a big run is on the cards under Kieran O’Neill. The main danger is Eldritch, but a market check is advised as he’s returning from a 139 day absence.

1 HERMINIO – Successful in France on the all weather and had been hurdling with the Willie Mullins yard this year before leaving to join Gary Moore. This mark demands him to be useful straight away and he may just need this.

2 ROYAL RESERVE – Unexposed on the all weather for David O’Meara, winning over the 1m 4f distance on his latest start when sweeping around the outside. He’s up five pounds and will need luck again from the back, but he’s progressing well and is a leading contender.

3 SUNBLAZER – Multiple all weather win for Kim Bailey, but this seven-year-old is exposed now and has been well beaten the last twice. This is a drop in class, yet this trip is sharp enough for him and he’s best watched.

4 TOM’S ROCK – Beaten by a head over course and distance in June and he was far away when fourth off today’s mark over the mile last month. Step up in trip will suit and he is unlikely to be far away.

5 GRACEFUL JAMES – All wins have come at the 1m 2f distance and he was only beaten two lengths over course and distance in July off six pounds lower. His current mark is more than fair and he can bounce back now returned to the all weather to take victory.

6 SENIORITY – Got back on track when last seen at Windsor, coming home with a rattle to finish a narrowly beaten third over the 1m 2f distance. Makes his all weather debut up a furlong in trip and he looks sure to play a leading role under James Doyle.

7 ELDRITCH – Two wins to start off his career before having excuses at Goodwood on his latest start after a slow beginning. He makes his all weather debut and is still unexposed, but a break of 139 days is worrying and a market check is advised.

8 RAVENOUS – No wins from seven all weather starts and his overall record remains three wins from 41. He isn’t the most consistent of horses and he didn’t back up a good effort two starts ago when well held at Haydock last time out. Hard to recommend.

9 VOGUEATTI – Both wins have come on the all weather at the 1m 2f distance, narrowly beaten at Chelmsford two starts ago. She didn’t back that up at the same venue when last seen though and others look far better treated.

10 ARTFUL ROGUE – Two wins from 17 starts on the all weather, finishing fourth at this venue when last seen earlier this month. He’s on the same mark here and looks vulnerable once again, so is best watched once again.

11 AIRWAY – Improved markedly on his second career start to win a Chelmsford handicap easily, pushed out under hands and heels. An opening mark of 83 doesn’t look harsh and he should do much better with an extra furlong. George Wood takes off three pounds and he has to be respected.

12 ESKENDASH – Won a course and distance winner back in March 2017, but that was in maiden company and he was well held at this venue when last seen. He’s only a pound lower here and hes looks vulnerable once again.

13 ENNJAAZ – Three-year-old for Saeed bin Suroor and Godolphin, three-quarters of a length behind Airway on his second start. He has won since in cheekpieces over the same course and distance, with an each way chance on handicap debut under three pound claimer David Egan.

14 RUMPOLE – Won a Windsor Maiden back in May and he’s had several good chances since being in handicaps for Hughie Morrison. He wasn’t beaten far at Newbury when last seen, but he’s a pound higher on all weather debut and others look far more likely.
