IN SUMMARY: Both Starlight Court and Sky Of Stars hold solid claims, however preference is for OVER THE AIR who is capable of much better than what she showed on her latest start. She wasn’t beaten far in this grade off two pounds higher at Worcester two starts ago and she shaped as though something was amiss when last seen. Nico De Boinville retains the ride and, with conditions to suit, she can return to her best and take this contest.

OVER THE AIR – Only three pounds above her last winning mark and she wasn’t beaten far off a two pound higher mark at Worcester in August. She’s more than capable in this grade and she shaped as though something was amiss when last seen. She has the potential to perform much better and can return to winning ways with conditions to suit.

BOBBLE EMERALD – Won off five pounds higher at Lingfield in November but he’s been mainly poor since, struggling to land a blow at Worcester when last seen. He needs to settle better here and he couldn’t be relied on heavily, although he does have each way claims at his best.

STARLIGHT COURT – Consistent sort over hurdles for Dan Skelton, falling at the fifth on his final start for that yard. He had run well at events prior to that and he makes his stable debut today for Charlie Longsdon who is in excellent form. He isn’t badly treated off this mark and market support would be significant.

RECKLESS BEHAVIOR – Only three runs over hurdles so far for Caroline Bailey, improving to finish second at Stratford when last seen. A mark of 107 on handicap debut isn’t a gift, however he’s entitled to improve and holds solid each way claims.

GREY MONK – One of the more experienced runners in the field who arrives here on the back of two below par efforts at Market Rasen. He needs to bounce back here and, even though a drop back in trip may suit, there are far more solid options on show.

WILD MURPHY – Has shown hints of promise on four runs over hurdles, but he was well held on his latest maiden start after fading badly late on. A mark of 105 is no gift on what we’ve seen so far and, although he’ll suit this drop back in distance, others have far stronger claims.

LOVE THE LEADER – Returned to form on his latest start at Newton Abbot, keeping on well to finish third late on. Stepping up in trip should suit based on that evidence and a repeat of that effort would see him with each way claims, so he’s certainly one to note.

SKY OF STARS – Two wins from four starts since joining Olly Murphy, however he was very disappointing on his latest start when tailed off in last as the 10/11 favourite. He has his stamina to prove at this distance and, although he’s dangerous if back to his best, he can be opposed here.

RING EYE – Rated 46 on the flat and signed off from the John O’Shea yard with a poor seventh at Brighton in August. He showed some promise on three previous hurdling starts and he shapes as though he’ll stay this far. Nevertheless, he’s very risky and this is a tough race on his first start over timber since April 2014.

MINELLA VOUCHER – Four runs over hurdles thus far and he’s shown nothing in those to suggest that he can win a Class 4 race for Alexandra Dunn. He makes his handicap debut of 88 which sees him off a basement break in this company, but it’s hard to get excited by his chances.
