4.55pm Ascot tips for Friday’s Class 3 event. The final race of the day at Ascot is a long distance handicap over the two mile distance, with ten going to post. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Now back on to his last winning mark, RITE TO REIGN can get back on track for Philip McBride whose string is in red hot form. Despite finishing tenth on his latest start, he wasn’t beaten far and he’s been slowly building up his fitness after a year long break. He should be back at peak fitness now and can take a third career victory under Davy Probert. The main danger is the steadily progressive Dominating who won’t be far away after finishing a close third last time out.

1 EYE OF THE STORM – Finished a creditable sixth in a Listed race on his latest start, although he was well beaten at Newbury when last seen. Even so, he’s been given a chance by the handicapper and he drops in class, so he does have place claims.

2 GAVLAR – Ran well in the spring, but things have been mainly poor since and he was well held in third at Wolverhampton when last seen. He’s only a pound lower here and remains vulnerable in his current mood.

3 BIG EASY – Won the 2014 Cesarewitch and won over hurdles two starts ago, not seen on the flat since September 2015. He’s six pounds lower than that mark and makes his debut for the in-form Ian Williams team following some good runs over hurdles in the summer. He looks well treated back on the flat and has to be respected.

4 MASTER SINGER – Won a maiden at Newcastle very easily on his third start, but he’s been well held in two valuable handicaps since for John Gosden. He has plenty to find upped to two miles and can only be watched here.

5 ALTAAYIL – Finished second at Epsom on his latest start for Gary Moore, rallying well but never able to threaten the comfortable winner. He’s on the same mark here and is worth a go at this distance, so has to be respected as he’s still unexposed as a stayer.

6 RITE TO REIGN – Back on to his last winning mark for Phil McBride and, despite finishing tenth when last seen, he wasn’t beaten far. He’s now down a further two pounds in the handicap and, with connections in red hot form, he looks sure to go close.

7 MISTER MANDURO – Finished second over course and distance in July, but three subsequent efforts have resulted in heavy defeats. Blinkers are now fitted and they’re going to need to spark something major. Conditions will suit, but others are readily preferred.

8 DOMINATING – Steadily progressive for Mark Johnston, finishing a close third at Newcastle when last seen. He’s only three pounds higher here and a repeat of that performance will see him going close under P J McDonald.

9 PERFECT SUMMER – Ran in snatches when second at Chester on her latest start, clearly loving the poor conditions on the day. She’s on the same mark here and the blinkers return, so she holds each way claims for a yard in blazing form at present.

10 WITH PLEASURE – Four pounds wrong at the weights here for John Flint and, although he stays this far, he was well held at Yarmouth when last seen. He’s on the same mark and looks vulnerable under three pound claimer George Wood.
