4.30pm Wincanton Tips & Betting Preview 29/10/2017

4.30pm Wincanton tips for Sunday’s Class 4 race. Only a small field heading to post for this two mile handicap hurdle, but it is a competitive line-up, with a little under £4,000 on offer to the winner. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: GLOBAL THRILL has been in flying form of late, the rise for his last win still leaving him well below his pomp so he has a great chance to go in once more. Bobble Boru and Starlight Court may be the best of the rest with second favourite Ivor’s Queen unlikely to get a soft time of things on the lead, she may well fade late on as she did over course and distance last time.

1 IVOR’S QUEEN – Just faded out of things close home over this course and distance last time. That was a stronger contest so she needs consideration with conditions to suit, but she faces competition for the lead here as she did there so may prove vulnerable late on.

2 TEMPLIER – Won on his hurdling debut, struggling badly since moving into handicaps. Slipping to a more realistic looking level but with competition for the lead here, this may still prove beyond his current capabilities.

3 STARLIGHT COURT – Has been tried over further but best form so far has come at this trip. Second run for Charlie Longsdon here after Dan Skelton failed to coax a win out of him. Needs consideration over two miles, with at least an each way chance.

4 THUNDERING HOME – Three course and distance wins on ground varying from good to form to heavy. Scored from two pounds lower at Exeter in July but he has been poor in two runs returned from a summer break, best watched for now.

5 GLOBAL THRILL – Arrives on the hunt for a hat-trick having finally taken advantage of a sliding rating. A nine pound rise for his latest win is perfectly fair, leaving him still well below his peak form from 2015. A big player in this contest.

6 BOBBLE BORU – Narrowly denied from a pound lower at Worcester last month. her last two displays have not been close to that. The cut in the ground will suit her and a first time tongue strap is fitted now. First and third in two visits to this track, she has an each way shout.

7 UDOGO – Rated as high as 81 for his previous yard in the flat, this mark of 100 should be within his grasp over hurdles. Is yet to really adapt to this discipline however, jumping poorly the last twice. Can only be watched here until he shows more fluency.
