3.50pm Hamilton Tips & Betting Preview 19/09/2016

Our race preview takes a look at a largely uninspiring Maiden Stakes at Hamilton. However, see our betting tips below to find a horse who’s pedigree bodes very well for the future in a race that wont take much winning.

IN SUMMARY: Bybrook has untapped potential after a good 3rd on debut when starting to get the idea late. However, this race wont take much winning with a lot of the horses looking short of potential so therefore it may be worth taking a chance on SHAH OF ARMAAN. Kevin Ryan’s gelding has a good pedigree and his trainer has found him a good opportunity in a weak looking 1m maiden today. Vizier cant be completely written off but he is really beginning to look exposed and nothing should be coming from the back in this.

1 SHAH OF ARMAAN – Has a decent pedigree with a mix of stamina and speed. This race really wont take a lot of winning with most of these looking very exposed so his only real danger may well be Bybrook. If he has even a hint of talent he will be up to winning this and its interesting to note that Sadler’s Well’s has produced 2 winners from her first 3 foals and he could be a cut above this field.

2 VIZIER – Not seen since April when with Roger Varian, now with the O’Meara yard. Has shown some moderate form, which wasn’t really inspiring. His latest 3rd of 6 at Brighton (7f, Good to Firm) when looking very one paced towards the finish doesn’t bode well against some unexposed types. Needs to show that hes improved for the break and can’t be completely discounted.

3 BYBROOK – Signs of definite promise when getting the hang of things towards the end to finish 3rd of 7 at Thirsk (1m, Soft), but she was 8 lengths clear of a Gosden horse in 4th. She has a good pedigree and there should be more to come, and Simcock has a 20% strike rate with 3yo’s this year, so she should be bang there.

4 CLARABEL – Last of 10 in a Newcastle maiden at the start of the month when not showing much promise (1m, Std). She dwelt, had reminders with 3 furlongs to go and then dropped a way with no hope another furlong later. Will likely be a monster price and that should be the case.

5 RATHVALE – Wasn’t completely disgraced on both her 2yo starts, the latest of which when becoming a bit out paced at Wolverhampton last November (7f, Std). Pedigree doesn’t exactly blow you away and is best watched on this very belated reappearence.

6 SMIRNOVA – Has been beaten 20l+ on all 3 starts this year since joining the Kenny Johnson stable. Pedigree again isn’t particularly inspiring and probably has no chance at all with the top 3 in the market today.

myracing Forecast Prices: 10/11 Bybrook, 2/1 Vizier, 11/4 Shah Of Armaan, Rathvale 40/1, 50/1 Clarabel, 66/1 Smirnova
