3.50pm Beverley Tips & Betting Preview 26/09/2017

3.50pm Beverley tips for Tuesday’s Class 3 conditions race. Only a small field, but a very smart line-up chasing a first prize of just under £12,500 up the stiff Beverley sprint track, with soft ground the order of the day. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: ALPHA DELPHINI loves this place and, in a small field, he should find it much easier to get the run of the race than he did from a wide draw last time out. Ornate looks like the pace angle which should allow him to settle better than he did at Leicester last time. Edward Lewis has plenty on at the weights, but he has no problems with soft ground and could be the bigger danger to the selection.

1 LINE OF REASON – Struggled in better races since a pair of handicap wins in June, including on Saturday. This is easier but soft ground has never suited him at a strong level in the past.  A couple of others in here with more pressing claims.

2 EDWARD LEWIS – Won over course and distance in April, he has placed on soft ground in the past. Smart effort last time when runner-up at York, one of the more likely ones under these conditions.

3 ORNATE – Pulled his chance away last time when not allowed to lead. Acts on good to soft fine, however softer is going to be a bit of an unknown. Strong chance if allowed to dominate this small field from the front which should help him to settle.

4 ALPHA DELPHINI – Twice a winner in three starts at this track, his chance was lost on the draw last time when behind Take Cover. The one to beat on this track as the pick of the weights, he should get a great tow into the race from Ornate.

5 ELYSIAN FLYER – Lowest rated in the line-up, his win this season came off just 77. Enjoys soft ground, but that is only a small plus in a field where he has a couple of stone to find.

6 ZIGGY LEE – 2/2 at this track but at a much lower level. Soft ground is no help to him and, with an official mark of 81 compared to the likes of Ornate off 107, he has a mountain to climb at these weights.
