3.30pm Warwick Tips & Betting Preview 26/09/2017

3.30pm Warwick tips for Tuesday’s Class 3 race. The racing continues at Warwick on Tuesday with another staying race, this time over fences. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: FACT OF THE MATTER ran on gamely to win a Class 2 event at Cartmel last month and is only six pounds higher here dropping into Class 3 competition. He remains unexposed over fences and looks progressive and so should have no problem dispatching this field to gain his fifth chasing win from nine starts. Sonneofpresenting idled badly when winning at Worcester with Buachaill Alainn nearly gunning him down late on. Both of those clearly have their quirks but rate as the biggest dangers if they put it all in, which isn’t guaranteed.

1 FORT WORTH – Eight-year-old for Jonjo O’Neill who won easily on his latest start at Worcester despite some sketchy jumps, raised 11 pounds as a result. That demands more from him here and good to soft ground isn’t ideal, so he does come with some risks attached, despite being a key player.

2 MINELLACELEBRATION – Another who arrives in great form, winning at Uttoxeter two starts ago and, despite a five pound higher mark, he was second at Aintree in May. A 130 day break is a concern but if back at his best he’s likely to be heavily involved, with conditions to suit and his stamina of no concern.

3 SONNEOFPRESENTING – Game front-runner who has won four of his last five starts, winning by a short head when last seen after idling badly on the run-in. He’s five pounds higher here but remains capable of better and was value for more on his latest start. If keeping his concentration he should go close again, however that is a big if.

4 KILFINICHEN BAY – Won over course and distance at this meeting last year and he’s only a pound higher, not beaten far when four lengths behind Sonneofpresenting at Worcester in August. He’s on the same mark and a repeat of that performance will see him go close here, especially as the Longsdon yard is in brilliant form at present.

5 FACT OF THE MATTER – Back to form on his latest start when winning a Class 2 Handicap at Cartmel in August, running on gamely to get up late on. He’s now six pounds higher, yet he looks progressive and has conditions to suit, with this race representing a drop in class from his latest start. Conditions will suit and he can gain back-to-back victories.

6 BUACHAILL ALAINN – Hard to win with and perhaps flattered by his proximity to Sonneofpresenting at Worcester last month, with that rival idling after being seven lengths clear at the last. He himself doesn’t tend to always put it all in and if getting into a battle he couldn’t be relied on. Likely place contender but vulnerable for win purposes.

7 ADAM DU BREATEAU – Inconsistent sort who was a good third at Fontwell behind Kilfinichen Bay in May, however he was well beaten at Stratford back in June. This race isn’t any easier and he’s only two pounds lower here, so you can find much more solid options in this field and he’s best watched.

8 BELMOUNT – Experienced eight-year-old who was running well when last seen without threatening, well held as the favourite on his last two starts. He was behind Minellacelebration and Fort Worth on each of those runs and more is needed off a mark of 126. Hard to rule him out entirely, but he looks vulnerable for win purposes without returning at his best.
