2.50pm Chepstow Tips & Betting Preview 31/10/2017

2.50pm Chepstow tips for Tuesday’s Class 4 race. Solid looking handicap hurdle with a number of these looking well capable of progressing past their current handicap positions this season. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: WYLDE MAGIC ran a huge race to end last season in the EBF Final at Sandown. That race looks the strongest form in the contest with his biggest danger Ramses De Teillee behind him on that occasion. Culture De Sivola is interesting stepped up in trip, while Filatore is thrown in on his very best form if he can get back to something like his best.

1 RAMSES DE TEILLEE – Looked as if he required a step up in trip when staying on strongly at Fontwell last month. Heavy ground was no help last time but he shapes as if this trip on good to soft will suit him well. Unexposed and capable of better.

2 WYLDE MAGIC – Seven lengths in front of Ramses De Teillee when last seen in the EBF Final at Sandown. A pound better off here, he gave the impression he is a three miler in the making, a first time tongue strap fitted to allow him to make maximum effort late on, big player.

3 CULTURE DE SIVOLA – Shaped well at this track in February, staying on well over two and a half miles. Her pedigree suggests that is the trip she wants, but she shapes as if this trip will suit. Each way chance if the visual impression is confirmed.

4 GRAN MAESTRO – Thoroughly exposed veteran, he was placed three times off similar marks in the summer. This trip on softer ground might just stretch his stamina, fading late last time over three miles on good ground at Wetherby, can only be watched.

5 ROYALE DJANGO – Better over fences, he has been placed in both of his recent hurdles starts. Has run no better than fairly on his two runs at this track in the past, struggling to find a change of gear late on.

6 MONDELLO – Placed at Uttoxeter in July, he is yet to prove that three miles is what he wants. The cheekpieces he has worn on his last seven starts are removed but would have a squeak on his close second to a solid yardstick at Wincanton in January.

7 FILATORE – A win and five places from ten runs here, he would appreciate a little more rain. More than two years since he showed his very best, but this trip suits and is still well treated on his old form. May have a say if ready to go off a break.

8 SAHARA HAZE – Went close at Hereford last December over further, she is rather one paced. If conditions were to deteriorate significantly it could bring her stamina into play but likely to get outpaced otherwise.
