IN SUMMARY: Leanna Ban went close behind a well treated rival at Kelso 12 days ago and has a good chance off four pounds higher. She hasn’t won since May 2015 though and preference is for THE GEEGEEZ GEEGEE who won readily on stable debut back in August and found his next run coming too soon when third at Worcester. He’s now six pounds higher, but he’s been allowed time to rest up and, with further improvement likely, he can take his second victory under the care of Olly Murphy.

HOLEINTHEWALL BAR – Well out of form on his final few runs in Ireland for Gordon Elliott and he was a well beaten 66/1 shot on stable debut for Tracey Barfoot-Saunt. He was tailed off from a very early stage and is best watched once again.

RIVERSIDE CITY – Form tailed off towards the end of his tenure with Gordon Elliott, however there was encouragement to take out of his fifth on debut for Jonjo O’Neill. He could easily build on that and is well treated on the best of his form, so he holds each way claims.

AUNTY ANN – Rated 114 over hurdles and she showed aptitude for the job when third on chase debut at Worcester. She’s on the same mark here and is open to improvement over fences for a yard in red hot form, so she’s certainly one to note as she handles softer ground.

THE GEEGEEZ GEEGEE – Won readily on stable debut for Olly Murphy and he found his run only seven days later coming far too soon, finishing third. That still wasn’t a bad effort though and, now that he’s been given a break, he can get back on track with softer ground ideal for him.

PATRICKS PARK – Won in Ireland three starts ago in the care of David Kelly, but he has been well beaten on two runs since and has now joined Matt Sheppard. He has plenty to prove now with a very inconsistent profile, so he’s best watched on stable debut under a seven pound claimer.

LEANNA BAN – Beaten less than a length by an in-form rival at Kelso on her latest start which was a great performance and she’s on four pounds higher here. That still sees her well treated at her best and she’s the main danger, but she hasn’t won since May 2015 which doesn’t inspire confidence.

BRAMBLE BROOK – Finished a close second in softer ground at Ffos Las back in December and that was off a four pound higher mark; but he was well beaten in three subsequent starts. He’s on a handy mark if returning at his best after a 209 day absence, he’s a risky play, however, and may just need this outing.
