IN SUMMARY: Despite a small field this is a cracking race, with preference for the potentially smart SAINT CALVADOS. He made an impressive British/Chase debut for this yard over course and distance last month and ticks all of the boxes. He jumped beautiful throughout and showed a lovely turn of foot to burn off the eventual second after two out. He’s only four pounds higher here and that seems very generous, so he can make it 2/2 over fences at the expense of Tree Of Liberty. He also bids to maintain an unbeaten record over fences after a successful chasing/stable debut at Ludlow two weeks ago, but this is a much tougher race.
