2.25pm Ludlow tips for Wednesday’s Class 4 race. A field of six fillies and mares go to post for this handicap hurdle contested over the 2m 5f distance. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Still Believing won last time out over hurdles with a game win at Uttoxeter and she won’t mind the drop back in trip; preference, however, is for ON DEMAND. Colin Tizzard’s six-year-old finished a very close second three starts ago over course and distance before being set some very tough tasks the last twice. Her handicap mark has come down as a result and, with a soft lead very likely for her, she should be very tough to beat.

1 STILL BELIEVING – Nine-year-old mare for Evan Williams who scored on her latest start at Uttoxeter in game style. She’s now six pounds higher which takes her to a career high mark over timber, but she will cope fine with this drop back in trip. She has her conditions and needs to be respected with Mitchell Bastyan taking off seven pounds.

2 MISS MOBOT – Tends to run her race for Philip Hobbs, however she was disappointing when well beaten at Sedgefield on her latest start. She’s on the same mark here, but a step back in trip should suit and she’s not entirely discounted.

3 ON DEMAND – Two wins from 15 starts over hurdles for Colin Tizzard, placing off three pounds lower over course and distance three starts ago. She was set two very tough tasks on her latest start and should be given a soft lead. Looks very tough to beat with a more manageable task.

4 POETIC LADY – Arrives here on a hat-trick for Neil Mulholland, winning with plenty in hand at Fontwell on her latest start. She’s now nine pounds higher in a tougher race, but she is still improving and has James King offsetting five pounds. Has to be considered.

5 MISS SPENT – Lightly raced mare for Dan Skelton who won four starts ago, but she was well held at Fontwell two starts later. Her run over fences is best ignored, but she needs more off this mark back over timber. Conditions will be fine but others are readily preferred.

6 OVER THE AIR – Hasn’t won since September 2015 and she’s still three pounds above her last winning mark, well held on her last two runs which were disappointing. She doesn’t look the easiest of rides and others have far more pressing claims.
