IN SUMMARY: It’s very hard to get away from the potentially top class CALL ME LORD, who has only run once for the Nicky Henderson yard but created a big impression. He stormed clear of a very useful field to win at Sandown in April, despite refusing to settle early on and fluffing his lines at some of the hurdles. He’s eight pounds higher here but can make a mockery of that as there is far more to come from this exciting four year old. So Celebre has been running well of late and is fit from a stint of the flat, so he heads up the dangers ahead of East Indies.

CALL ME LORD – Two time winner over hurdles in France who made a successful start for Nicky Henderson with a comfortable victory at Sandown in April. That form is very useful and with far more to come from him, he shouldn’t be beaten under Daryl Jacob.

HIGH SECRET – Six year old for Paul Nicholls who ran a good race in Grade 1 company at Aintree in April, finishing fourth in the Top Novices’ Chase. He is fit from a run on the flat but this mark does demand further progress. Others are preferred on this occasion.

CAID DU LIN – Won two starts ago at Fontwell in a Class 3 Handicap, but he was held on his latest start at Ascot in a competitive Class 2 event. This is just as tough and off only a pound lower, he can only be given an outside each way chance.

UNISON – Won two hurdling starts ago at Wincanton in March before being well held when upped into this grade a month later. He’s been hit and miss on the flat since and he does have the fitness edge here, but that shouldn’t be enough for him here.

SO CELEBRE – Course and distance winner who followed up from that victory with a good win at Ascot in April. That form puts him close to Call Me Lord (who also beat Dolos) and he’s fit from racing on the flat of late, though he was well beaten on his latest start. He’ll be happier back over obstacles though and is still handicapped into play.

EAST INDIES – Head-strong sort for Gary Moore who was caught out by the swift change in pace at Ascot earlier this month, which is disappointing as a strong pace should have suited him. His current mark is fair but he may once again struggle in this grade.
