12.45pm Musselburgh tips for Wednesday’s Class 4 race. A field of nine go to post for the first race of the day at Musselburgh on Wednesday. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: This should go to FLY VINNIE, who is a dual winner at this track and is lightly raced since a course and distance victory off four pounds higher in January 2015. He goes well fresh and has Steven Fox claiming five pounds, so a big run looks inbound from the eight year old. Ebony Rose is back up in trip and shouldn’t be far away, with Buckled another who arrives in good form and should run his race.

1 FLY VINNIE – Dual winner here for Alistair Whillans who has been very lightly raced, returning this season four pounds lower than when winning over course and distance in the past. He goes well fresh and should have far too much for these under Steven Fox, who claims five pounds.

2 WALTZ DARLING – Running solidly well in 2017 without managing to pick up a victory, finishing a long second at Market Rasen on his latest start. He’s now a pound lower but does need a bit more and can only be put forward for each way claims.

3 EBONY ROSE – Lightly raced mare for Susan Corbett who won two starts ago at Perth before another good run at Hexham where she was outpaced before staying on. She’s on the same mark and back up in trip, so shouldn’t be far away.

4 BUCKLED – Courses and dsitance winner who arrives here on the back of a victory at Kelso last month, winning by a length and he’s five pounds higher here. This race isn’t much tougher and he holds strong claims once again.

5 MARAWEH – Last win came back in May 2016 off a nine pound higher mark, pulled up when last seen in May. His record fresh isn’t the best and although he has a good record over course and distance, he can only be watched once again.

6 MINNIE MILAN – Three wins from twenty-two hurdling starts and she’s been very poor on most of her runs this season, with a best finish of a poor fourth at Cartmel in August, She continues to tumble down the weights but makes no appeal.

7 TRONGATE – Lightly raced five year old who has only run five times over timber, but his form has gone backwards since finishing second on his first two hurdling runs. His stamina for this distance is a big question mark and he’s another who can only be watched.

8 THE WISE ONE – Won over course and distance two starts ago by two lengths but off his new mark he was well held at Perth back in April. He’s entitled to need this run after 196 days off the track, but can be given each way claims in a poor race.

9 CLONDAW BANKER – Painfully inconsistent sort for Barry Murtagh who has been well beaten on his last five starts, which all came over fences. He’s now back over timber off a twenty-two pound higher mark and is another who requires a leap of faith to back.
