.40pm Lingfield tips for Tuesday’s race. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Value is always the name of the game and at these prices ROSE BERRY (Each Way) looks outstanding in the circumstances and seem sure to get involved in the finish. She seems happy enough on the polytrack surface here and although yet to win over this trip hasn’t been stopping when placing over shorter suggesting a race of this standard is not beyond her.

HIGHLAND ACCLAIM – Yet to win on the all-weather despite fourteen starts at five different courses but dropping down the weights and David O’Meara has won with him off this rating at Epsom at the end of August. Since then he has raced four times, finishing last in two of them including last time out, and he needs to show signs of a return to form before support.

KODILINE – Clive Cox’s three-year-old Kodiac colt stayed on strongly over an inadequate five furlongs at Kempton last month but ought to be far happier stepped back up to this trip and dropped to this class. His only win so far was a Windsor maiden so he needs to step up on that but he has been dropped a pound for his recent third, and ought to get involved in the finish over a far more suitable distance – Adam Kirby rides.

SUPER JULIUS – Yet to win at this distance and invariably campaigned over the minimum trip of five furlongs with the odd try at five and a half. Certainly bred to be as good over this far and he has already won two races in 2017, but was well beaten at Chelmsford off this rating, and may need to come down a pound or two before he wins again.

SIR OTTOMAN – Represents the in-form Ivan Furtado stable who have three winners from their last eleven runners for a 27% strike rate and over eleven points of profit. A multiple winner in his native France he has moved on from Mohamed Moubarak to his current yard but needs to find his better form to have any chance even off a rating three pounds lower than his one-paced Kempton sixth.

SHAMSAYA – Well weighted now for trainer Simon Crisford and the booking of Silvestre de Sousa to ride the Shamardal filly really catches the eye. She did win off a rating of 83 at Salisbury in September 2016 but was well beaten last time out York when fourteen lengths adrift of winner Major Jumbo though this is her first try on this surface and is very well handicapped if she can be brought back to her peak.

GORGEOUS NOORA – Running in to form lately with a fourth at Kempton which she followed with a short head second to You’re Cool at Chelmsford earlier this month and she should be spot on now with three runs after close to a year off after winning over this trip at Wolverhampton in November 2016. Luca Cumani has his Newmarket string ticking over and she should go close under Luke Morris here.

MEDICI BANCHIERE – Trainer Karl Burke has his string in great form with five winners from his last nineteen runners for a 26% strike rate and over seventy-one points of level stakes profit. The son of Medicean seems unlikely to add to those figures with nine runs since his last victory and a five and three-quarter length fifth last time out over further at Doncaster off three pounds higher.

SHORT WORK – In-form option and the David O’Meara first string by the look of things with Danny Tudhope in the saddle. Three wins and two third places in his last five runs with a three-quarter length success on soft ground at Catterick last time out. The handicapper has put him up three pounds for that and he has only had one (losing) race on the all-weather at Newcastle but he could still be of interest.

DIAMOND LADY – Seven runs since her last victory when successful on the Lingfield turf over seven furlongs off a rating of 79 in June 2017. She has found her new rating too high since but has been dropped three pounds since finishing eighth at Nottingham. She has won on the all-weather here at Lingfield (twice) and could go close today off her more sensible handicap mark this afternoon.

ROSE BERRY – Yet to win beyond five furlongs but holds a 100% records here at the Surrey track, scoring over the minimum trip in a class 6 in August 2016 and a class 5 the following month. Only beaten two and a quarter lengths at Kempton over this trip last time but left on the same rating though we note she has won off of higher marks suggesting she won’t be far away and cannot be easily dismissed.

JUST AN IDEA – One win from fourteen starts in a course and distance maiden back in January but not even a place since with a twenty-seven-length last of eleven at Kempton last month when never involved before being eased off by Adam Kirby. Last of fourteen the race before and clearly out of sorts, needs to show something again before any serious consideration.
