.20pm Sedgefield Tips & Betting Preview 28/11/2017

IN SUMMARYVINNIE LEWIS ran a good race when fourth last time despite stumbling at the last fence and can make amends here for Harry Whittington and Harry Bannister. Harry Hunt comes here the only last time out winner in the race and it would be no shock should he go close again here.

CABRAGH – Stayed on powerfully to win back in January at Bangor and has run some good races off higher marks since. Improved again on his last run of the season to be beaten under three lengths into second and a repeat of that would probably see him close here off the same mark having been given a break.

CAMILLAS WISH – Won four in six for Richard Ford over the summer and races off twenty-seven pounds higher than the first of those wins today. Was beaten a long way in a difficult race on stable debut for Micky Hammond and has been dropped three pounds for that, she will find this easier and could go well.

HARRY HUNT – Graeme McPherson has been amongst the winners in the last few weeks which is encouraging for the chances of this last time out winner. He won at Ayr and although faces less testing conditions today he has potential to go well again off a mark just three pounds higher.

VINNIE LEWIS – Won twice in point-to-points and ran a good race in a handicap hurdle when beaten a length and a quarter at Huntingdon in January. Remains unexposed over fences having made just two starts in this sphere and his mark of 113 certainly looks feasible, one of the more interesting contenders.

VELVET COGNAC – Beaten just a neck at Fontwell in October off the same mark he races off today but failed to back that effort up when a below par fourth at Plumpton last time. Obviously has the potential to run well off this mark but is a bit inconsistent and has yet to win a race under rules after ten starts.

MASTER RAJEEM – Loves this track and was a good second in this race last year off three pounds higher than he races off today. Hasn’t won for just under a year but will be spot on for this having had a pipe opener at Hexham a few days ago and has the ability to run a decent race.

RED DANAHER – Hasn’t won since going at this track in March 2015. That was his only win to date under rules after fourteen tries and even though a mark of 93 isn’t impossible to overcome you would want to see a bit more encouragement before viewing him as a betting proposition.

HOUNDSCOURT – Won a handicap hurdle off 76 in January and although he hasn’t quite looked winning since he has run some respectable races. Has won three times over fences from twenty-five attempts which is a reasonable strike rate in this sort of context but may struggle here.

NELLY LA RUE – Has run in twenty-five point-to-points and has won just once and is yet to win after ten starts under rules. Races from twenty-four pounds out of the handicap today which would seemingly leave her with a mountain to climb, can be overlooked.
