.20pm Kempton Tips & Betting Preview 13/11/2017

A decent sized field for this novices’ chase with a prize of £4,549. Read on for expert analysis and betting tips.

IN SUMMARY: This has an open look to it with a few inconsistent types and it could pay to stick with the reliable RAMORE WILL, he has strung together a sequence of good performances and another bold showing seems likely.  Aficionado is of definite interest on his second race back from a huge lay-off for the canny Dr Richard Newland.

FAVORITO BUCK’S – Beat the now Willie Mullins trained Sympa Des Flos in impressive style in his sole start in France but has failed to build on that so far in Britain. Hasn’t been within twenty lengths of winning a race for Paul Nicholls and fell on his last start just two weeks ago, risky.

FULL – Has yet to win any of his sixteen races under rules which is a concern but has been getting closer as of late. Finished a solid second on his last start over fences and is only two pounds higher here so he should run his race again and he has an each-way chance.

EYESOPENWIDEAWAKE – Ran five times in point-to-points over in Ireland and won just once but showed a great deal of promise when winning on stable debut. A rating of 120 could leave him with something in hand considering he won despite racing very exuberantly; interesting.

KING COOL – An exposed type over hurdles who hasn’t won since picking up a novices’ hurdle at Fontwell in early 2016. That was his only win in twelve attempts and he switches to fences for the first time here, needs to take a step forward.

ADMIRAL’S SECRET – Has yet to taste victory under rules but has had just six starts so isn’t entirely exposed. Comes here for his second start over fences having had no chance after being badly hampered on debut, excuses there but needs a fair bit more regardless.

AFICIONADO – Was making his first start for two years when a well-beaten sixth at Stratford three weeks ago. That run wasn’t without promise however and the handicapper dropped him three pounds, he makes his chase debut here for a shrewd trainer and is interesting considering he has been beaten just half a length off six pounds higher in the past.

BAD BOY DU POULDU – Bounced back from a string of heavy defeats to win a handicap hurdle back in April. Reappeared for the season with a promising enough debut in what looked a decent race at Kempton and can have a say if building on that.

FRONTLINE – Ran a couple of nice races in Ireland back in late 2015 over fences but has been lightly raced since. He remains a maiden after five tries in this sphere and this will be a competitive enough race to win off a 344 day break, quite risky.

RAMORE WILL – Quickly becoming a consistent horse having been placed in each of his last five starts, with two of those being victories. Most of this field have questions to answer but it would be a surprise if this one didn’t run his race and that would see him get involved.

GREGARIOUS – A useful hurdler who was two from five over timber and showed a particular liking for ground with some cut which he’ll get today. The form of his win over Deauville Crystal reads well in hindsight and it is interesting he goes fencing so soon, considered.

GOOD MAN VINNIE – Won a couple of point-to-points before making the switch to hurdles where he was unplaced both times. Handicap chasing should suit him better than his last two racecourse appearances but he has something to prove nonetheless.
