The return to sprinting has had a positive effect for FAITHFUL PROMISE and she can resume winning ways now fitted with cheekpieces.
J: Gina Mangan
T: Gay Kelleway
Placed at both Thirsk and Kempton in recent starts prior to a disappointing run on the All-Weather last time. He'd been progressive prior to that run, and Gina Mangan takes off seven pounds today. No surprise were he to bounce back.
Chance if reproducing form of Kempton second in June but bit disappointing last time
J: Lewis Edmunds
T: Chris Dwyer
On a nine-race losing streak, with her profile very patchy this year. She's hit the frame on her last two starts, however, including on stable debut over course and distance last time. The cheekpieces now go on and she's now eight pounds below her last winning mark.
Two sprint wins last year; placed over C&D on recent stable debut; cheekpieces now
J: William Carson
T: Paul D'Arcy
Hat-trick seeker, holding on gamely to score at Newmarket eight days ago by a neck. She's now two pounds higher and although she does need more to be scoring again, she has a great attitude and she's unlikely to be far away.
Won her last two and still on competitive mark; one to take seriously
J: Jason Watson
T: Mark Usher
Capitalised on a sliding mark with a four-length victory over course and distance, well-held under a penalty at Newbury subsequently. Her new five-pound higher mark now kicks in and given her prior form off similar marks, she's vulnerable here.
Easy win over C&D last month but held off 6lb lower latest, albeit in Class 4
J: Toby Eley
T: Steph Hollinshead
Placed on two of his last three starts, not quite able to stay the seven-furlong trip at Wolverhampton last time. A drop in distance is a positive and any rain is a big help, but you have to feel he'll fall short without further progress, which he's lacked.
Maiden but 2nd twice on soft ground in April; return to 6f is a plus; rain would help
J: Tony Hamilton
T: Tim Easterby
Yet to score from eight attempts, with form this year very difficult to get a hand on. His fourth on his final start for Scott Dixon was a fair effort, but he was still well-held and needs plenty more on stable debut, including rain.
Maiden but promise for previous yard; rain would help and market informative
J: Oisin Murphy
T: Martin Smith
Nine-race maiden who was placed over seven furlongs here in June, not quite up to that level the last twice. He tries six furlongs for the first time today and the blinkers are also added, but he doesn't seem likely to want this drop back in trip (stayed on well over further).
Ran well here in June (7f) and not disgraced latest; blinkers tried now dropped in trip
T: Stuart Kittow
