Guide To Saturday’s Racing

Royal Ascot Tips

There have been plenty of shocks at Royal Ascot this week but a couple of potential stars have announced themselves, Calyx in the Coventry on Tuesday and Alpha Centauri yesterday in the Coronation Stakes. The former drawn on the wrong side but still an impressive winner, he could go onto much bigger things, while the latter is arguably the most impressive winner of the week, breaking the track record in the process. Every race will be covered today with our Royal Ascot Tips. There are a whole host of special offers this weekend for Royal Ascot from boosted prices to bet through the card offers, as well as on England’s second World Cup game tomorrow on our free bets page.

Angel or Warrior to become a Diamond?

A winner over a mile and a quarter at this track when trained by William Haggas, Redkirk Warrior has become a Group 1 sprinter in Australia, returning to his old home in a bid to land a Royal Ascot contest at the top table. Harry Angel is 0/4 at Ascot but trainer Clive Cox doesn’t believe that his charge is disadvantaged on the track. Check out our Diamond Jubilee Stakes Tips to see who we are supporting to come out on top in Saturday’s feature contest.

Wokingham the 5.00pm puzzle

All week at Royal Ascot the 5.00pm has been the most competitive handicap of the day and Saturday is no different. The favourite is the unbeaten Dreamfield, short enough realistically in a race where plenty of luck in running will be needed, but he looks a Group class performer in the making. He runs against a number who already have form at Group 1 level on the board so this should be the race of the day. We have looked through this competitive race runner by runner in our Wokingham Stakes Tips.
