10.00pm Crayford Race Preview 15/12/2017

We have to wait around for the final race of the night to see Dazzle in action once more. She bounced right back to form last time out, beating an A6 field. Another step forward here would see her ready to try six bends once more as we are adamant that this is where her future lies. Our greyhound tips will be on site before 6.00pm but sadly we won’t be able to see Dazzle in the shops, but Betfair have priced her up. Let’s look at her task however.

10.00pm Crayford 15/12/2017 A5 Grade

Yacht Julie – Fourteen races without success in bottom grade, but on the return from a three month break she has climbed the grades in smart order. She is yet to go quicker than 24.14 so will need plenty of luck in running from the back.

Tintreach Reggie – Well beaten the twice he has been seen at this level. He was a decent scorer in an A6 last time out but will need to up his game here though a slow starter inside in 1 and a middle runner in 3 should at least allow him to get a clean run to the turn.

Droopys Dazzle – Trialled from 3 a couple of times but this will be her first race this close to the rails. She did well to ride a bump last week, showing great determination to get her head in front. Well capable at this grade as well if she can build on that win.

Islay Tommy – Only a baby but has already shown decent form coming from the back to win both an A7 and an A6. Will find it harder to pick up better dogs from behind, but he looks a surefire improver once he is sent over 6 bends. One to follow in 2018.

Rogue Convict – Unraced eighteen month old pup has shown ability in trials, though leading at the first bend off a 3.74 sectional is not going to be possible at this level. Stepping forward with each look though so well capable of taking a hand.

Newlawn Jimbob – Did well in early autumn, climbing from A7 to A3. That run of rude health has ground to a halt, now slipping a pair of grades back down the ladder. With a pair of slow starting pups inside, he may not need his best break to take advantage of a great draw.

Conclusion

A new draw for Dazzle to contend with here, but it’s a race without any great early pace. Both the 4 and 5 are going to be nice pups to follow through 2018 but the biggest danger tonight is clearly the 6. He was two grades higher than this on the 9th of November and with a pair of slow starters inside him, he should be straight on the bunny.
