Cheltenham Festival – Nigel Twiston-Davies’ thoughts for Wednesday

Nigel Twiston-Davies has horses running at Cheltenham this week and here he shares his views exclusively with myracing.com about their chances and why.

Nigel’s Charity Bet

Nigel’s Charity Bet on Saturday was a winner at 14/1!

Nigel’s pick for his £25 Charity Bet for Wednesday is:

5.30pm Cheltenham (Champion Bumper)  – Ballyandy to Win at 13/2

£25 returns £187.50 if he wins which will be donated to the Injured Jockey’s Fund

Wednesday’s Runners

Blaklion (9/1) – RSA Chase 2.10pm

“Hasn’t done anything wrong and looks a decent horse in the making, though it is possible he may be better on a softer surface. A proper stayer and a real trier who jumps well, I think he will put in one hell of a performance here.

Ballyandy (13/2) and Ballymalin (33/1) – Weatherbys Champion Bumper 5.30pm

“Ballyandy is the favourite here so we have to be pretty hopeful, and it has all gone well up to now so here’s hoping. His form is there for all to see with one single length loss (gave the winner seven pounds that day) but an impressive win at Newbury since, and he has to have every chance, though there are plenty of very class opponents. Ballymalin is here on merit but will be a lot better over further and when faced with hurdles next season, and fences eventually.”
