7.45pm Newcastle tips for Thursday’s Class 5 race. A field of 11 fillies go to post for this 1m handicap. Read on for our free betting tips, predictions and analysis.

IN SUMMARY: Corked is unexposed and she is a big player if she can better her reappearance second at Chelmsford in September, but it’s hard to get away from BEATBYBEATBYBEAT. She had to switch the entire way around the field at Nottingham on her latest start, getting to the lead before being headed late on. Despite running some okay races on the all weather, her mark in this sphere is 6lbs lower and she can take advantage to win here.

1 BELLE DE LAWERS – Six-year-old mare with only eight runs under her belt, showing signs that she retained ability on her first two runs for James Bethell on the back of a two-and-a-half year absence. She was beaten out of sight last time though and is hard to fancy.

2 CORKED – Unexposed maiden for Hugo Palmer who was only beaten by a neck when upped to 1m 2f on her latest start – her reappearance run. She won’t mind this drop back in trip and is a key player.

3 THE STALKING MOON – Dual winner at the 7f distance in 2017, although her form has tailed off since her second win. She was beaten out of sight and always behind at Beverley when last seen and on her all weather debut; she is thoroughly opposable.

4 IFUBELIEVEINDREAMS – In the frame on all three of her maiden runs for Ismail Mohammed, making her handicap debut off a mark of 75. That demands further progress, but she’s unexposed and is unlikely to be far away with a 3lb claimer aboard.

5 SHE’S PUKKA – Cost €65,000 and made a winning debut at Carlisle in September, staying on the best to win over the 1m 1f distance. That was only a three-runner race, but there is surely more to come and a mark of 71 looks lenient. Entitled to be going close here.

6 JAFETICA – Showed a fair amount of ability in maidens for James Fanshawe, however she was beaten a fair way at Lingfield when last seen. She’s well bred so there could be more to come from her on handicap debut, but others do make more appeal as she looks to need further.

7 MISS SHERIDAN – Won three of her first four starts in 2017, but her form has ground to a halt of late for Mick Easterby. She is a five race maiden on the all weather and all her best form is on the turf, so she couldn’t be recommended.

8 MAKE ON MADAM – Won at Beverley in April, but she’s had plenty of chances since, still 6lbs above her last winning mark. More is needed here and a return to the all weather needs to spark a revival. Others look more solid.

9 BEATBYBEATBYBEAT – Hugely unlucky when having to switch all the way around the field on her latest start to be then nutted towards the finish. She’s now 4lbs higher, but if managing to transfer that form to her lower all weather mark, she’s going to be tough to beat here.

10 DORIA ROAD – Yet to get her head in front after eight runs, finishing third at Kempton on her latest start in a Class 6 Handicap. She’s on the same mark and needs more to be threatening here up in grade. Likely to miss out.

11 LUCKY ELLEN – Third on her stable debut for Jennie Candlish last month, but she’s 11lbs outside the handicap here and that makes this a very tough task alone. An outside each way chance as she’s lightly raced, but she’s vulnerable for win purposes.
