5 Outsiders To Watch This Weekend 26/05/2018

York Racecourse

Another very busy weekend in prospect with eight races making up our ITV Racing Tips for Saturday afternoon. We’ve taken a long look at all of the Saturday cards to see if there are 5 outsiders who could make you rich this weekend.

Get Knotted – 2.00 York – 12/1

Loves racing at York, his last two wins have both come over this course and distance, the most recent of those came from this same mark. He was third in this contest last year when racing from six pounds higher so he is well in from his current rating. With no ground concerns whatever the weather does and the likelihood of a decent pace to tow him into the contest, he looks set for another bold showing at his favourite track.

Maybride – 2.30 Goodwood – 12/1

Winner of her last two, she was stronger at the line over six furlongs last time than at any other point of the race. The recent rain is in her favour, a daughter of Mayson whose progeny like a bit of cut, with the wider draw not so much of a concern when the ground rides soft at Goodwood. She is six pounds higher here but such was her superiority at the line and the promise of more to come at this new trip, she looks a big price.

Finniston Farm – 2.50 Haydock  – 12/1

The Haydock Silver Bowl is always a competitive contest and well worth following through the season. The Tom Dascombe yard always need a second look at this track with a monstrous £162 level stake profit since Dascombe took out a licence. This might be the perfect trip for his son of Helmet who stayed on well to be second in the Free Handicap chasing home the 1000 Guineas seventh. A mile and a quarter was too far last time, with a little support already on Friday afternoon certainly adding to the interest.

Mukhayyam – 5.15 Chester – 12/1

Front-runner is very well drawn to attack round this sharp track from the 1 stall. He is three pounds below his last winning mark so is certainly weighted to strike, with his run style favoured here. The Tim Easterby form are in far better form than they were when he made his two previous outings of 2018 with his extra stamina for a mile and a half no bad thing with him able to make this into a proper test from the front.

Dawn Of Reckoning – 7.50 Salisbury – 33/1

One massively out of left field to end with, but a filly who has caught the eye on more than one occasion, picking a few off from the back. She represents a yard who have made a very smart start to 2018, just a single winner shy of their entire 2017 return. She was still green, running around on the undulations, when beaten in a deeper race than this at Chepstow last time out, with first-time cheekpieces added in a bid to help her concentrate. She looks adaptable with regards to ground and may look too big come 8.00pm on Saturday evening.
