This is a weak handicap for the grade and it would be disappointing if PISTOL PARK could not prove tough to beat in these conditions. He was a respectable 2nd over 2m4f here last time out and should appreciate the drop back to 2m today. The handicapper has kept him on a mark of 129 so he is still 2 pounds below his last winning handicap mark and connections seem to have found a winning opportunity for him to capitalize on that today.

Has improved in each of his last three runs since having a wind operation back in January. Not beaten far into 3rd over today’s course and distance last month and backed that effort up when 2nd over 2m4f here last time out. Has no problem with Heavy ground conditions and is now 2 pounds below his last winning mark, should go well.

Rated as high as 153 at his peak but has been on the decline this season after winning a weak claimer at Ffos Las back in October. Is now 17 pounds below his last winning handicap mark, but others arrive here in much better form and difficult to know how much ability he still retains.

Form has clicked recently, and he has now won 4 of his last 5 races climbing up 22 pounds in the handicap in the process. Returned from a short break to win at Catterick last month, allowed to dominate there and unlikely to get such an easy lead today. Respected in his current form but others arrive here better handicapped.

Most of his recent form has come over 2m4f so may find the drop back to 2m on the sharp side today. Won well at Wetherby in November and although poor since he has now dropped to a 2 pounds lower handicap mark. Over 40 lengths behind Pistol Park last time out though and others arrive with less to prove.

Off the mark at the 13th attempt for this yard when winning at Southwell in February. Disappointed at Uttoxeter afterwards but bounced back on his return to Southwell later that month. His jumping seemed to let him down at Huntingdon last time out and he currently looks a risky betting proposition.
