IN SUMMARY: Danandy‘s chances will depend on his jumping and if managing to get a clear round, he should be a big danger, however the better choice is Jeremy Scott’s BILLY TWO TONGUES. This nine-year-old is still unexposed over fences and returned from nearly a year off when a close fourth in a competitive event at Worcester in July. He ran to a respectable level again at Uttoxter two weeks later and, now that he’s at full fitness, he can gain another chasing victory with Robert Hawker taking off seven pounds.

DANANDY – Ran his best race over fences when third at Fontwell on his latest start, only let down by his jumping on that occasion. He should be happier back down to this distance and, if jumping better off the same mark, he looks sure to be in the frame with Sean Houlihan taking off seven pounds.

LOST LEGEND – Ten-year-old who is clearly not the force of old but was running well when last seen in the summer, winning at Uttoxeter before a close second at the same venue a month later. He’s now only a pound higher, but he’s not guaranteed to be in the same form and others look to have more obvious claims on this occasion.

KINARI – Dug very deep to beat Lost Legend at Uttoxeter two starts ago before producing a similar effort when fourth at Fontwell last month, four lengths behind Danandy. He’s on the same mark here but needs further improvement to feature as this mark looks stiff. Connections are in good form, but he has each way claims only.

ALBEROBELLO – Won on stable debut at Stratford back in March and he ran well off a one pound higher mark when third at Ffos Las in June. He’ll need to be at his best after a 119 day break to take this, but he’s run well after breaks in the past. He looks to have frame claims with conditions to suit as he remains lightly raced for his age.

CLOUDY BOB – Eased down to win at Kempton in April but he’s been well held on his last two runs, last seen at Market Rasen in May when beaten 30 lengths. He’s three pounds lower, but he’s entitled to need this after 128 days off as his record fresh doesn’t read at all well.

BILLY TWO TONGUES – Returned in the summer from a near year’s absence with two respectable efforts, the first of those being a close fourth at Worcester. He remains unexposed over fences and, with Robert Hawker taking off seven pounds, he can gain a third chasing victory now he’s up to full fitness for Jeremy Scott.

STRONGLY SUGGESTED – Now back to his last winning mark but he’s become extremely inconsistent this year, well beaten on his last four runs for Jonjo O’Neill. That was over a variety of trips and it’s impossible to be confident after so many poor performances. Percentage call is to look elsewhere at this distance.

HEROES OR GHOSTS – Won three starts ago at Worcester despite idling when hitting the front, although he’s followed that up with two lacklustre runs and has a point to prove here. The form of his win is also very modest and, with this being a competitive race for the grade, it’s very easy to look elsewhere here, despite Richard Johnson retaining the ride.

GET INVOLVED – Back to form off a career low mark when winning at Worcester in June. However, the form has taken several knocks since and more is needed off three pounds higher. He’s none too consistent and, with such a modest overall record of 2/20, it’s best to focus on the other runners as he doesn’t look like an obvious type to follow up.
