IN SUMMARY: Nendrum has really improved for aggressive tactics the last twice and has to be considered despite this new mark, but preference is for CHARMANT. He was bidding for a hat-trick when only beaten four lengths in a Class 2 Handicap at Kelso last month. He’s on the same mark here and drops back in grade, which should see him as very tough to beat.

Charmant | J: Steven Fox T: James Ewart

Won twice to start the season off before a close fourth at Kelso last time, never able to put in a challenge. He's on the same mark here and dropped in grade, which is a definite help. Fox claims a useful five pounds and with conditions to suit, he's one to take seriously.

Ask The Tycoon | J: Derek Fox T: Lucinda Russell

Won a weak looking bumper and has shown some promise in two runs over timber, though well held on both occasions. He has scope now handicapping, but does need to improve off this mark to be a threat. Hard to rule out entirely but better ground is another question mark.

Canny Style | J: Brian Hughes T: Kevin Ryan

Won a maiden at the second attempt before a third on handicap debut last month. She's on the same mark here and this track should suit her better. A return to better ground is another plus and with her connections flying, she has leading claims.

Nendrum | J: Jamie Hamilton T: Sandy Thomson

Has found his feet the last twice when aggressively ridden, scoring over course and distance before a close second last month. He's now seven pounds higher in a tougher race, but a small field may suit him better as he can attempt to dominate from the front. Has to be considered.

Hey Listen | J: Thomas Willmott T: Lucinda Russell

Has shown no form in handicaps to suggest he can be winning a race of this nature any time soon. He was never involved at any stage over course and distance in December and makes no appeal off four pounds lower.
