BEGGAR’S WISHES was an impressive scorer on his first start over fences at Sedgefield in a race that has been working out really well. He comes from a family who tend to mature later so there should be lots more improvement in the tank. Red Devil Star looked on his way back to form at Lingfield last time, he has returned to his last winning mark. Accord might appreciate the step down in trip on the stiffer track while Workbench although the most exposed has at least been in decent form from similar marks.

Beggar's Wishes (IRE) | J: James Bowen T: Peter Bowen
Massively improved in 2017, winner of three of his four races including his chasing debut last time. The second bolted up the next time as well as the fifth winning since so the form looks strong. From a late maturing family, there looks plenty more to come from him. The one to beat in this contest.

Accord (IRE) | J: Jamie Moore T: David Bridgwater
Smart debut over the bigger obstacles at Fontwell, he has gone backwards in two starts since. Connections add first time cheekpieces here in a bid to rediscover that Fontwell spark. The drop back in trip on a stiff track might help, each way squeak.

Workbench (FR) | J: Harry Skelton T: Dan Skelton
Last four wins have all come at Fontwell on decent ground. Is well treated on those efforts, placed the last twice from this perch. First time blinkers are added (tried cheekpieces in the past) he needs a bit more if he is to get his head back in form as one of the most exposed in the field.

Red Devil Star (IRE) | J: Jack Sherwood T: Suzy Smith
Third in this contest from a pound higher last year before winning off this mark at Ascot a fortnight later. Gave notice that he was coming back into form when only beaten two lengths at Lingfield last time, looks to have a solid each way shout.

Bally Gilbert (IRE) | J: Nico de Boinville T: Ben Pauling
Smart bumper run in the spring of 2016 but has failed to go on from that. This is an easier contest than the one he ran in last time out, but a first time tongue strap is going to have to make a significant impact if he is to win this.

The Green Ogre | J: Joshua Moore T: Gary Moore
A long way behind Red Devil Star last time on his return from a long break. Didn't always look the easiest in the past but he was placed off 126 over hurdles so 109 now looks more than workable. Yard are scuffling for form a little but they always need plenty of respect with runners here.

Gregarious (IRE) | J: Leighton Aspell T: Lucy Wadham
Both wins came over two miles here on soft ground over hurdles. He was disappointing on his chasing debut at Kempton, losing confidence in his jumping after a mistake. This is a tougher track to jump round so despite his love of Sandown, he's easily opposed.

Here I Am (IRE) | J: Marc Goldstein T: Diana Grissell
Not seen since May 2016, he had won from this mark the previous month at Fontwell. Has won fresh on a return from a few months off in the past but this is a tough task after such a long break, Easily passed over.
