IN SUMMARYTOMMY SILVER was the best of these over timber and can build on what was a promising chase debut and take this. Cultivator should be the only real danger based on hurdles form but he was very disappointing on his chase debut and has a few questions to answer here.

BOSTON BLUE – A 105-rated chaser who has yet to get his head in front in this sphere. He ran sixteen times over hurdles and won three of those including over course and distance but has plenty on his plate today and will likely struggle.

CULTIVATOR – A useful novice hurdler last season who reached a rating of 139 over timber. He made a poor start to life as a chaser when pulled up in an admittedly hot race at HQ, this is easier but he will need to jump much better today.

OCEAN BENTLEY – Tony Carroll runs two here and both look to have very little chance. Rated just 94 over hurdles he has more than a couple of stone to find with the principals here and it would be disappointing were he not well beaten.

TOMMY SILVER – A beaten favourite on chase debut but has plenty of form in the book over hurdles that entitles him to go close here. A rating of 146 leaves him clear at the weights and he should have learned plenty from his debut over fences; strong claims.
