14:15 - Leicester Preview & Tips
Lagavara is an eight race maiden who tends to run her race without winning and therefore she is an each way contender, but preference is for ROBIN DEUZ POIS. She returned this season with a fifth at Leicester in a novice event, clearly needing the run. Her opening handicap mark is more than fair and she can make good on the promise she has shown thus far. Daytime Ahead is up in grade after a win last time, but at least she arrives here in good form and rates as the biggest danger.
Two wins back in the summer for this in form yard, last seen at Ayr finishing a well held fifth. That wasn't a bad run but despite being off two pound slower, more is required in a competitive race. He's an each way contender with the ground ideal.
Robin Deuz Pois (IRE) | J: Richie McLernon T: Paul Webber
Has shown promise in three novice hurdles for Paul Webber, returning with a fifth at Leicester last month. She clearly needed the run and now starts off in handicaps off a workable mark. She looks sure to make a bold bid.
Lagavara (IRE) | J: Jamie Bargary T: Nigel Twiston-Davies
Eight race maiden who posted another good effort when third at Newton Abbot on his latest start. She never looked likely to win and that has been the case throughout her career. She's an each way contender again off the same mark.
Sweet Shirleen (IRE) | J: Jonjo O'Neill T: James Evans
Seven year old mare who is a fifteen race maiden, well beaten on her British debut for James Evans. She was never in the hunt and despite being five pounds lower she makes little to no appeal.
Miss Fleming | J: A. P. Heskin T: Tom George
Modest over hurdles but she did post a career best when second at Uttoxeter last time, beaten by a nose after being pipped on the line. She was giving masses of weight away that day and off four pounds higher she's a key player.
Versifier | J: Leighton Aspell T: Oliver Sherwood
Showed some promise in her first few hurdling runs but she has gone backwards alarmingly in recent starts. She was beaten out of sight at Carlisle on her latest outing, dropped a further three pounds in the handicap. That does little to her appeal though.
Daytime Ahead (IRE) | J: Daryl Jacob T: Ron Hodges
Arrives here on the back of a last time out victory at Wincanton, driven clear on the run-in to win by four. She's now seven pounds higher and up in grade, but at least she arrives here in form and she's a player.
Dahills Hill (IRE) | J: Kielan Woods T: Graeme McPherson
Has been frustrating to follow and is now a seven race maiden over hurdles, well beaten on her British debut at Fontwell last time. She's now two pounds lower but this softer ground isn't sure to suit and others are readily preferred.
The Golden Hour (IRE) | J: Trevor Whelan T: Zoe Davison
Only four runs over hurdles for this seven year old mare, showing some promise on two of her runs. She didn't stay the trip on her latest start, dropped two pounds as a result. She's hard to fancy once again.
