12.57pm Crayford Race Preview 16/09/2017

A turbulent race last Saturday put paid to any chance of Droopys Nuka landing the win. She’s back again at Crayford in an interesting A5 contest seven days later. Our greyhound tips are live on the site from 6.30pm each evening. Our runner by runner preview for Nuka’s race is below.

12.57pm Crayford 16th September A5 Grade

Galtee Elsa – A relative newcomer to the ranks at Crayford, from the handful of efforts we’ve seen she seems to have plenty of early pace to bring to this race. Drawn in one is where she wants to be and if she can grab that rail and avoid any of the early trouble she could play a part in this.

Blinky Blobs – Seems to be having a rough time of it at the minute since stepping back in trip.  His lack of early pace is causing him trouble at this level. Connections will no doubt be looking at stepping back up in time and until then he’s going to need a huge slice of luck in this contest.

World Cup Willy – Stepped up in trip after a few flat efforts back in July but is now back over 4 bends. His first attempt over this trip last week was less than encouraging, he was slow away and struggled to land any blows. Like trap 2 he’s going to need the cards to fall right over 4 bends and a step back up in trip could be imminent.

Fawkham Bugatti – A standing dish at this level around Crayford. If you draw a line through his most recent effort then you would think this dog is holdings form well. He’s often missed the break which has cost him dearly but if he can put all the pieces together he could go well here.

Phat Larry – A dog that finished in front of Nuka with a great effort last week. After 3 flat efforts he bounced right back to form. He has some great early pace and runs the track really well. If he can get off the front they are going to struggle to reel him in at Crayford.

Droopys Nuka – She had an awful passage through last week, she missed the break and was stopped at every turn. That was her worst split since she arrived from Ireland and we’re drawing a line through that effort. She is capable of hitting the boxes hard and if she does she could throw her hat into the ring as they turn down the far side.

Conclusion

Nuka’s biggest challenge is going to come from the dog inside of her. She’s going to need to hit the lids and take control of the outside as they run into the first turn. She has landed an A5 before so its not an insurmountable cliff for her to climb. She’ll need to bring her A game to the table and if the cards fall right for her she could win, let’s hope she brings her trapping boots and we can celebrate her 4th victory at Crayford.
