1.01pm Crayford Race Preview 17/07/2018

Brighton and Hove Greyhounds Stadium

It’s another two runner day for the myracing.com greyhound syndicate, a runner at each of the Crayford cards. Our lunchtime runner is the pup Jacobs Fire who looks to add to her A6 win from two starts ago. Sheffield and Crayford will feature on our greyhound tips tonight as we look to build on Monday’s Acca win.

1.01pm Crayford 17/07/2018 A5 Grade

Trap 1 Holiday Jen – Consistent pup is yet to break 24 seconds but she has shown some nice pace to the bend to stay out of trouble. Has found others are stronger coming home so far. Until she builds up her strength, she needs trouble behind to hold off the stronger runners.

Trap 2 Roben Stella – Off the mark at the sixth time of asking in an A6, trialling impressively over 6 bends when last seen. She lacks early pace but like our girl, she is a strong runner and will be better once she races over further in due course.

Trap 3 Jacobs Fire – Really staying on strongly at the business end of her races, showing smart trackcraft for one so young. Her 23.80 success at A6 level would see her right in the mix once more here if she is able to clear the 2 on the run to the bend.

Trap 5 Pure Papa – More than capable at a higher level earlier in the year, the winner of an A4 in January. Missed five and a half months so is entitled to come on for his A4 run last time. In a race lacking early, he should be on the bunny which gives him a strong chance.

Trap 6 Caboose – Only needed to do 24.21 to win a horribly messy race at this level last month. Very inconsistent at the traps, one of his better breaks would see him in contention with a pair of 23.84’s to his credit but he does have pace inside in 5 to worry about.

Conclusion

A winnable looking opportunity for Jacobs Fire on the clock, a repeat of her 23.80 that she produced to land her A6 win may well be good enough to get her head in front. 2 has similar sectionals to her so she will need to be on her mettle early to wriggle round clean. Her biggest danger will come from whoever leads on the outside between 5 and 6. The 5 was capable two grades higher earlier in the year, while the 6 has mid 23.80’s to his credit when he hits the lids.
